The sprocket coupling uses a common chain to simultaneously mesh with two parallel sprockets with the same number of teeth. The main difference between chain couplings of different structural types is that different chains are used. The common ones are double-row roller chain couplings, single-row roller chain couplings, toothed chain couplings, and nylon chain couplings. The chain coupling is simple in structure (composed of four parts), easy to assemble and disassemble, does not need to move the connected two shafts during disassembly, compact in size, light in weight, has certain compensation capabilities, does not require high installation accuracy, works well, and has a long life. It can be used for shaft transmission of textile, agricultural machinery, lifting transportation, engineering, mining, light industry, chemical and other machinery. It is suitable for high temperature, humid and dusty working conditions, not suitable for high speed, severe impact load and transmission of axial force. The chain coupling should work under the condition of good lubrication and protective cover.
There is an empty stroke when reversing, so it is not suitable for reverse transmission with large impact load.
There Are Several Reasons for the Formation of Sprocket Coupling Failure
1. Overload, the coupling is overloaded.
2. The chain or sprocket is excessively worn for a long time.
3. There is no cover installed, and the chain is corroded and broken.
