Structure of XL Star Coupling

The XL star coupling is composed of two connecting discs, which are connected through their inner and outer teeth. The coupling plate with internal and external teeth is connected with the transmission and drive axle through splines or keys.

1.When the spline teeth on the gear are damaged and the fit gap is greater than 0.4mm, it should be replaced.

2.When the keyway on the gear is damaged, it is allowed to enlarge the keyway and replace it. Or insert another keyway at 60° from the original keyway.

3.When adjusting the XL star-shaped elastic coupling, the coaxiality of the two axes should not be greater than 0.4mm.

The XL star coupling uses engineering plastics as the elastic body of the coupling, which has the functions of compensating the relative offset of the two axes, buffering, shock absorption, and can be widely used in various occasions. The transmission torque is 20-35000. -+80 degrees Celsius and interchangeable with German ROTEX couplings. These couplings are ideal for use on high-speed equipment with variable loads.

The type of coupling should be selected according to the requirements of the transmission device. When selecting the coupling used between the motor shaft and the high-speed shaft of the equipment, due to the high rotational speed, in order to reduce the starting load and ease the impact, the coupling should be selected with small transmission inertia and elasticity, such as elastic sleeve pin couplings. When selecting the coupling used between the output shaft of the equipment and the working machine, due to the low speed of the shaft and the large transmission torque, a large axis offset compensation is required, so a rigid coupling with a high bearing capacity is often selected, such as drum gear couplings. If the working machine has vibration and shock, in order to reduce the vibration and ease the shock, so as not to affect the normal operation of the transmission parts in the equipment, you can choose an elastic coupling, such as an elastic pin coupling.
