The Mud Pump Should be Maintained Rationally and Scientifically

Many enterprise users report that the maintenance and management of mud pumps are not systematical and perfect, therefore, how can we perform scientific maintenance of mud pumps? In fact, during the operation of the mud pump, the following issues should be paid attention to:

1. Whether the bearings of the mud pump can operate normally

To observe whether the bearing is normal, you only need to pay attention to two aspects: one is the oil temperature, which should not exceed 60°C; and the second is the sound. You need to pay attention to whether there are strange sounds. Generally speaking, when the components are damaged, the mud pump will make an abnormal sound.

2. Whether the pump body of the mud pump vibrates

Vibration requires more attention and observation. Once you see the pump body vibrates, you can know where the problem is, so that you can solve it in time. The vibration of the mud pump is usually caused by the wrong installation of the center pump and the motor; the loose and unset impeller or motor feet; the loose bearings, or the unbalanced rotor mass.

3. Whether there is a leakage of the mud pump body

The tightness of the seal of the types of mud pumps should be moderate, not too loose, and of course not too tight. The filler should be able to drip water slightly so that we can drain heat and water. The packing used for sealing should be replaced regularly, otherwise, the packing may no longer play a sealing role after hardening. In addition, mud pump heads, gearboxes, clutches, cylinders, connecting rods, and other components need to be managed. Learn to listen to the change in the sound could save troubles and help people judge faults easily.
