1. The role of the oil pumping unit

Oil pumping unit is one of the important equipments in oil exploitation. Its main function is to lift the crude oil at the bottom of the well to the ground through the sucker rod and the sucker pump. The motor of the oil pumping unit drives the reducer to operate. After decelerating through the reducer, the rotating motion of the reducer is transformed into up and down reciprocating motion through the crank connecting rod mechanism on the pumping unit, and then the pumping rod and oil pump are driven by the donkey head and hair braid to continuously move up and down to pump the crude oil at the bottom of the well to the ground.

2. The classification of oil pumping units

1) Conventional beam pumping unit and its modified pumping unit. Conventional pumping unit is the main type of oilfield production. The mechanism is simple, the mechanical commutation is simple, and the mechanical commutation is stable. So far, it still occupies a dominant position in the application of many rod-type pumping units.

2) Four-bar transmission mechanism oil  pumping unit. It is mainly based on the crank-slider mechanism as the main mechanism, such as the extension program and the floating wheel type.

3) The pumping unit of the six-bar mechanism. In order to overcome the shortcomings of the four-bar mechanism pumping unit, several oil pumping units with six-bar transmission mechanism have been developed.

4) Drum pumping unit. It is a oil pumping unit that uses the reversing mechanism to drive the forward and reverse rotation of the drum, and drives the flexible wheel to drive the suspension point to move up and down.

5) Chain pumping unit. The chain pumping unit is a pumping unit that uses the special links on the track chain to drive the reciprocating frame to reciprocate, thereby driving the suspension point to move up and down.
