In China, a large part of the pre-exploration wells and production wells in some exploration areas are deep wells and ultra deep wells, and the domestic drilling tool manufacturers also develop some deep well tools accordingly. Due to the complexity of downhole working conditions, in the process of drilling, the common stabilizer often has failure incident with a short working life in the well . It is a key research topic for oil field companies and drilling tool manufacturers in China to improve the downhole working life of replaceable sleeve stabilizer.
Since the use of triple helix stabilizers in China's oilfields and gas fields in 1983, their structures have basically remained unchanged. Most of the existing three screw stabilizers use a certain number of cemented carbide blocks inlaid on the spiral bar to increase the surface wear resistance. However, the rapid falling off of cemented carbide is very serious. After falling into the well, it will affect the drilling speed, reduce the bit life and increase the drilling cost. Therefore, the screw structure, the body structure and the shape of the spiral groove of the replaceable sleeve stabilizer can be optimized to improve the load condition of the screw part of the stabilizer, so as to improve the fatigue life of the stabilizer. The main development trend of the new developed replaceable sleeve stabilizer is to improve the wear resistance of the working section and the connection reliability of the threaded joint.
